Rebuild Confidence Through Better Hearing
Hearing Therapy in London
Our hearing therapy service is designed for adults who are finding it difficult to adjust to hearing loss, tinnitus, or hyperacusis.
At your first appointment, you’ll meet with an audiologist who has specialist training in hearing loss, tinnitus, hyperacusis, and advanced rehabilitation techniques. This session is an assessment, aimed at helping us understand your specific concerns and challenges.

An Overview of Hearing Therapy
You’ll be asked to complete a questionnaire and talk with us about how your hearing issues are affecting your life. We’ll also give you detailed information about the available management options. You will then return for a second appointment where we’ll work with you to create a personalised management plan tailored to your needs.
Therapy usually involves 5 to 10 sessions, and your commitment to the process is important. Much of the progress happens between sessions, as you apply the techniques and strategies we explore together.
If you are struggling because of your hearing loss, hearing aids, tinnitus, hyperacusis (sensitivity to sound) or balance problems, your consultant may discuss referral to a Hearing therapist.

When Hearing Difficulties Affect Daily Function
Structured Therapy Guided by Clinical Insight
You should consider hearing therapy if listening feels effortful, speech is difficult to follow in noise, or hearing problems cause fatigue or frustration. Ongoing tinnitus-related distress, sound sensitivity, or difficulty processing spoken information are important signs that therapy may help.
This service is also appropriate when hearing challenges persist despite devices or medical care, or begin to affect work, communication, or emotional wellbeing. At Harley AVM, structured therapy supports safer listening, confidence, and functional improvement.
How We Deliver Hearing Therapy
At Harley Audiovestibular Clinic, hearing therapy begins with a detailed discussion of listening challenges, symptom patterns, and daily communication demands. Our team reviews relevant assessments to understand auditory processing, sound tolerance, and the impact of tinnitus or hearing difficulties on function and wellbeing.
Therapy is then tailored to individual needs and delivered in a structured, supportive manner. Sessions focus on practical strategies to improve listening skills, reduce listening effort, and manage symptom-related distress. Progress is reviewed regularly, allowing therapy to adapt over time and remain aligned with clinical findings and personal goals. This approach helps patients build confidence in everyday communication and regain a sense of control over their hearing.
