Posture Shift Monitoring
Spot Dizziness Roots in Position Changes
Changes in posture can affect how blood pressure and heart rate respond, influencing blood flow to the brain and inner ear. When this response is delayed or exaggerated, people may feel light-headed, dizzy, unsteady, or faint on standing. Symptoms can appear suddenly or gradually and may worsen after illness, dehydration, or prolonged rest.

Catch Balance Busters on the Rise
Postural blood pressure and pulse testing assess how your cardiovascular system responds as you move from lying to standing. We measure blood pressure and heart rate at rest and again after standing, observing whether levels drop, rise, or change abnormally. This helps identify postural hypotension or autonomic patterns that may contribute to dizziness or imbalance.
At Harley AVM, the test is performed in a controlled clinic environment and takes only a few minutes. It is non-invasive, low-risk, and does not require recovery time. Results support accurate diagnosis and help differentiate circulatory causes of dizziness from inner-ear or neurological conditions.

Sequential Stability Checks
Postural Mastery Leaders
Assessment begins with a detailed symptom history, focusing on triggers such as standing, walking, or prolonged sitting. We combine postural measurements with audiovestibular examination and hearing or balance tests when indicated.
Management usually starts conservatively. This may include hydration advice, medication review, lifestyle adjustments, and monitoring. Further investigation or referral is considered only when symptoms persist, worsen, or significantly affect daily safety and independence.
Stabilise with Our Vital Vigilance
At Harley Street Audiovestibular Clinic, we recognise that dizziness often has more than one contributing factor. Our team specialises in complex hearing and balance disorders, allowing us to integrate postural blood pressure testing with detailed vestibular and auditory assessment. We focus on explanation, helping you understand whether symptoms arise from circulation, inner-ear function, or both.
Care remains coordinated from assessment through follow-up, with clear discussion of results and next steps. If dizziness occurs when standing, feels unexplained, or continues despite basic measures, we invite you to book an assessment, request a call back, or submit an enquiry to explore tailored care with our team.
